Remem features

Say what you need to do, or type it. With location access on, Remem attaches the place automatically and turns the note into a pin, already filed under a category. Find it later on Map or List, after signing in to a Free or Premium Remem account. While signed out, Home and List show bundled examples to explore.

Capture

Get it down while you are standing there

Voice or typed capture

One tap records for up to 60 seconds and the same control stops and saves it, or the Note tab takes typed text. Remem saves the resulting pin locally on your device.

Location, saved automatically

With location on, Remem saves the available location with each new pin. There is no separate place-adding step, and location is used only while Remem is open.

Filed as you go

Remem reads the words you used and files the pin under Food & drink, Shopping, To collect, Report, Place of interest or General. One tap changes it. Signed-in Free allows up to two photos per pin and Premium allows up to ten; each can have an optional note that stays private when you share.

Pins for places you have not reached yet

Web pin planning is in local validation. Once map-provider approval enables it publicly, sign in to Remem Web, open Map and choose Drop a pin. Select a place, label it and save. Open the saved pin to edit its details or add photos. Use the same Remem account on your phone to sync your changes when Remem is open and connected.

Find

Map

See pins by place

Use the map when the location is the clearest way to recognise a pin, then navigate to it in the maps app you prefer.

List

Sort by recent or nearest

Use the list when text, category or saved date is more useful than geography. Nearest-first ordering appears whenever there is a fresh location fix.

Search

Narrow down the results

Search runs across pin transcripts and photo notes on the device, and category chips show how many pins sit behind each one. No cloud account required.

Share a place

Let the recipient choose their maps app

A located pin can include a View Location link. The recipient can open the place in Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze or another maps app, or copy the location details.

Anyone with the link can open, copy or forward the precise location. The current app does not provide a control to stop sharing a link after it has been sent.

No maps provider is contacted until the recipient chooses one. The chosen provider then receives the precise coordinates under its own privacy terms.

What Remem sends to create the link

  • Only the pin’s precise coordinates
  • No pin identifier, transcript, Notes field, photos or audio
  • Coordinates encrypted before storage
  • Only hashes of the public and revocation tokens stored
  • Every sent link expires 30 days after creation
  • If sharing is cancelled before sending, Remem may invalidate the unused link
  • An expired or invalidated record is normally deleted automatically after it has been inactive for seven days; a temporary service delay may postpone deletion

Take your pins elsewhere

Choose the export that fits the job

CSV means comma-separated values. It is a spreadsheet-friendly file containing unarchived pins, coordinates, captured or typed text, category and saved date.

GPX means GPS Exchange Format. It is a mapping format for unarchived pins that have locations.

Compare CSV and GPX

Important export limits

  • Archived pins are not included
  • Photos and recordings are not included
  • CSV omits the separate Notes field
  • Exports are not a restorable backup

Clear boundaries

Account and cloud status

Capability Current status What that means
Signed-out use Bundled examples Home and List show immutable examples; real creation requires sign-in.
Free saved pins Five, archived included Signed-in Free pins stay viewable, editable, shareable and deletable, with up to two photos per pin. Premium removes the commercial pin limit, allows up to ten photos per pin and adds spreadsheet and map-file export. If Premium ends, existing pins and photos remain manageable and synchronised; only another admission follows the Free boundaries.
Account sign-in Required for real creation and purchase discovery Signing in identifies the exact account that owns every real pin from creation. It does not grant Premium or start a charge.
Premium on web and phone One eligible purchase Link Premium to a Remem account, then use the same Remem sign-in on web, Android and iOS. You do not buy Premium again in the phone app.
Encrypted Sync Automatic for signed-in Free and Premium Remem Web, Android and iOS use the account Sync key internally. Sync follows the signed-in account, so the same exact Remem account on a phone and in Remem Web works from the same pins. Signing out hides personal content and stops active Sync without silently deleting the retained account collection. Account deletion and local-data removal are separate explicit actions. Sync is not a guaranteed backup, version-history or recovery service.
Mobile platforms and browser Web, Apple and Android Remem Web is available at tryremem.com/app. Store availability may differ while the mobile listings are prepared.

Common questions

Feature questions, answered

Do I need an account to use Remem?

You can explore Remem's bundled examples while signed out. Sign in to create real pins: Signed-in Free keeps up to five saved pins, and archived pins count towards that limit.

What languages and formats does Remem support?

The interface is available in English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese. Region, date format and time format are chosen separately from the language, so you can read Remem in one language and keep local date and time conventions.

When does encrypted Sync start?

Creating a real pin requires sign-in. Signed-in Free and Premium accounts receive the same local-first encrypted Sync on Remem Web, Android and iOS. Remem handles the account Sync key internally, so the customer does not need a second setup step.

Can I use Remem on web, Apple or Android devices?

Yes. Remem Web is available at tryremem.com/app. Public Apple and Android store links will appear as each mobile listing goes live.
