CSV is the clearer choice when you want to sort, filter or review pin details in a spreadsheet application. It is not an Excel workbook, but spreadsheet applications can open it.

Export your Remem pins
Your pins are yours, and they should be able to leave. Choose CSV when you want them in a spreadsheet, GPX when a mapping or GPS tool needs the locations. Both are Premium features, both cover unarchived pins only, and neither is a complete or restorable Remem backup. That last point matters more than it sounds, so this page spells out exactly what each file carries.

This download is separate from the CSV and GPX exports. It provides a technical copy of data stored by Remem on this device, mainly for inspection or support.
It is not a backup file. Remem cannot restore from it, so do not rely on it to recover your pins after removing the app, clearing app storage or losing a device.

An exported file can contain pin text, dates and precise coordinates. Once you save or share it through your device, its safety depends on the destination you choose. Check the recipient and the privacy settings of any storage, email or mapping service before sharing it.
