What to send
- Send the request from the email address associated with your Remem account where possible.
- Include the account email and the Remem Support ID if you still have it. The Support ID is helpful but not required to start a request.
- Wait for Remem support to complete a safe ownership check. Sending an email starts the request; it is not by itself proof that deletion has completed.
What the verified request covers
A completed verified request deletes the Clerk sign-in account and associated authentication data, associated Remem server data, and the linked RevenueCat customer profile used for purchase identity. Remem will not describe the request as complete until the relevant provider outcomes have been confirmed.
Encrypted cloud backup and restore are not enabled in this version. Remem does not upload pins, note text, locations or recordings through that feature. Any Remem account data that does exist on the service remains within the deletion request.
To stop stale signed-in devices from recreating deleted data, Remem may retain a one-way pseudonymous cloud-write fence and a bounded RevenueCat erasure retry record while deletion is incomplete. They contain no note content, locations or recordings, are retained for 30 days after completion, and are then automatically deleted. Read the retention details.
Local-only data on a device
An external request cannot reach or erase pins, notes, locations, recordings or temporary exports stored only on a phone. If you still have the device, use Remem’s separate Delete account and all local memories choice or clear the app’s storage after any information you want to keep has been exported safely. Removing local data cannot be undone.
Store subscriptions are separate
Deleting a Remem account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription and does not delete the store’s payment or transaction records. Cancel recurring billing separately in the relevant store if that is what you want. Account deletion does not change any refund decision made by Apple or Google.
If email does not open
Open your preferred email service and write to support@tryremem.com with the subject Remem account deletion request. For other help, visit Remem support or read the privacy notice.
Remem support will reply with any ownership-verification steps and will keep the request open while an associated provider deletion is unconfirmed. No fixed completion time is promised on this page.
If you change your mind before support says deletion has started, reply in the same email thread and ask to withdraw the request. Support will confirm the outcome; silence or a sent email does not prove that withdrawal succeeded.
The claimed account email is used only in the restricted deletion case to locate one account, complete the ownership check and reply about the open request. It is removed or redacted when no longer needed under the support retention process. The 30-day pseudonymous deletion safety records do not retain your email.
