Most good intentions are formed standing somewhere specific and lost
somewhere else. Remem is for the ones that only make sense in place:
say it where you are, and the place comes with it. These are the
situations where that link does real work.

Everyday use
Keep each detail where it belongs
Where you parked
Level 4, blue zone, opposite the lift. Five seconds of talking as
you walk away, plus a photo if the bay number matters. A GPS dot
alone will not save you in a multi-storey car park at eleven at
night; the words will.
Location readings can be inaccurate, especially indoors. Keep
tickets and follow car-park rules separately.
A place worth returning to
The bench with the view. The shop that had the right size. The
café that was quiet on a Tuesday. Say what made it worth coming
back for, and it sits on the map waiting until you are near it
again.
Check current opening times, access and availability with the
place itself before travelling.
Travel and day trips
Plans made on the move rarely survive the journey home. Capture
the detail where you are standing and the place attaches itself.
Sign in to create the real pin; once signed in, no signal is
needed for the local-first capture itself.
A local pin is not a travel booking, route instruction or live
visitor-information service.
Visits and observations
Walk the site once, leave with the list sorted
Property or site visits
Damp patch, back bedroom, second window. Say it at the window
rather than reconstructing it in the car afterwards. A photo
carries the detail words cannot, and the category keeps what
needs chasing apart from what was merely noted.
Remem is not a certified inspection, asset-management or legal
evidence system. Follow the formal process required for the job.
Work visits and handovers
Say what needs doing while you are still looking at it. When the
follow-up is due, search the words you actually used and the
pins come back in the order you walked them.
Do not record confidential, personal or employer-controlled
information unless you are authorised to store it on the phone.
Field observations
A survey, a walk, a hobby that depends on knowing exactly where.
Capture as you go, then hand the located pins to a mapping tool
as GPX once you are back at a desk.
Remem is not an emergency, navigation or safety-tracking system.
Use appropriate specialist tools for those needs.

others within fifty metres of it.
2. Organise
Let it file itself
Remem picks the category from the words you used. Add a photo
when a photo will do the explaining faster than a sentence.
3. Return
Use the map, list or search
Pick the view that matches what you have to go on: the place,
the words you spoke, the category, or roughly when.
Use information elsewhere
Export when the pins become useful elsewhere
Use CSV for a spreadsheet-friendly copy of unarchived pin data.
Use GPX for unarchived pins with locations in compatible mapping
tools.
Do not rely on Remem as an emergency service, live family tracker,
turn-by-turn navigation system, certified inspection record,
regulated case-management platform or guaranteed cloud-recovery
service. Use a purpose-built and properly approved service where
safety, legal duties or guaranteed recovery depend on it.
